The Knowledge Advancement Unit at the Centre for Knowledge Advancement and Languages (CeKAL) provides a diverse range of academic courses designed to broaden students' knowledge, strengthen critical thinking, and develop essential skills that complement their academic and professional development.
The unit offers courses in Mata Pelajaran Umum (MPU), Mathematics, Statistics, and Law. These courses complement students' specialised fields of study while supporting the development of knowledge, skills, values, and competencies needed for their academic and professional journeys.
As part of CeKAL's commitment to preparing students for a rapidly evolving digital world, AI Literacy is also integrated into selected MPU courses. The initiative equips students with digital awareness, critical thinking skills, and ethical perspectives to understand and responsibly use artificial intelligence in everyday life, academic contexts, and decision-making.
MPU courses broaden students' understanding of Malaysian society, culture, ethics, contemporary issues, communication, integrity, and community engagement. The courses are offered across Diploma and Bachelor's programmes, with course requirements varying according to the level of study and student category.
Mathematics and Statistics courses support students in developing quantitative knowledge and analytical skills. Courses are offered across Foundation, Diploma, and Bachelor's programmes.
Law courses provide students with knowledge of legal principles relevant to areas including business, company and partnership, hospitality, and travel.
