Green Power Solutions for Telecommunication Towers
The Director of the Institute of Sustainable Green Energy and Technology (iSGET), i-CATS University College, together with industry collaborators from H2 Energy, engaged with the senior management of Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) to present a proposed off-grid green power solution for telecommunication towers.
The proposed hybrid solar and fuel cell system offers a cleaner, more reliable and sustainable alternative to conventional diesel-powered systems, particularly for remote and off-grid locations. The solution aims to reduce diesel dependency, operating and maintenance costs, carbon emissions, noise pollution, as well as risks associated with fuel storage and theft.
The engagement reflects i-CATS University College’s continued commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions through industry collaboration, while supporting the development of more resilient and efficient telecommunication infrastructure in Sarawak.
