Professor Ts. Dr. Jagadeesh Pasupuleti is a distinguished academic, researcher, and energy professional specializing in renewable energy, sustainable energy systems, energy efficiency, hybrid renewable energy systems, smart energy management, energy storage, hydrogen energy, and power systems. He currently serves as Director of the Institute of Sustainable Green Energy and Technology (iSGET) and Professor at the Faculty of Energy Transition, i-CATS University College, Kuching, Sarawak. Through his academic and research leadership, he contributes to the development of sustainable energy technologies, energy transition strategies, and future-ready talent to support the transition towards a low-carbon economy. Prior to joining i-CATS University College, Professor Jagadeesh served as Head of Hybrid Renewable Energy System at the Institute of Sustainable Energy and Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Putrajaya, Malaysia. His career combines extensive academic experience with strong research, consultancy, industry engagement, and professional contributions in the energy sector.
Professor Jagadeesh has 38 years of teaching, research and administrative experience. He has supervised 4 postdoctoral researchers and 40 postgraduate students. He has published and presented 200 research papers in international journals and conferences most of them are indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, together with 8 books and book chapters. His research has achieved an h-index of 40 and more than 5,450 citations. He is recognized among the world’s top 5% of scientists in the SciRank Global Scientist Index 2025, reflecting his contribution and impact in the field of energy research.
