The library is located at the heart of the campus and is easy to access. Visit our library to find what you need or to request for further assistance. The library also provides photocopying, printing and computer access services.

Starts operation on January 2015 with more than 30,000 books. 

2 level library – able to accommodate approximately 150 to 200 people.

Collaboration with other libraries of Sarawak Skills, AWISAR, i-CATS Miri, SEITI, PPKS Mukah, SAVTI Miri and etc.

Carrel Room

RULES & REGULATIONS (CARRE L ROOM) 

To ensure fair and appropriate use of the Carrel Room, all users are expected to adhere to the following policies:

1. Reservation

  • Reservation must be made in advance, and usage may be time-limited
    to ensure fair access for all users.
  • The Carrel Room may be only used during library operating hours.
    Users are not allowed to use the Carrel Room during library break
    times.

2. Identification:

  • A valid student or staff ID Card must be presented to gain access to
    the Carrel Room.

3. Conduct:

  • Please keep the noise level in the carrel rooms at a reasonable level.
    Rooms are not soundproof.

4. Room Key:

  • The library staff will provide access to the Carrel Room upon confirmed
    reservation.
  • Only staff and students who have made the reservation may be issued
    the key directly.
  • RM20.00 replacement fee will be charged if the key is lost.

5. Personal Belongings:

  • Personal belongings are allowed but the library may limit the number or
    size of items brought into the room.
  • The library is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

6. Food and Drink:

  • No food is allowed in the Carrel Room.
  • Only mineral or drinking water is permitted.

7. Cleanliness:

  • Users must keep the Carrel Room clean and tidy.
  • All trash must be disposed of properly.
  • Any spills or damages should be reported immediately to library staff.

8. Access:

  • The Carrel Room is for individual use only (1 person at a time).
  • Access may be restricted to graduate students or staff and may be
    limited during certain times.
  • The Carrel Room is closed on weekends and public holidays.

Rules & Regulations

To maintain a conducive environment for study and research, all library users are expected to adhere to the following rules while in the library:

1. Silence

  • Silence must be observed at all times. Library staff may request the disruptive patrons leave the library to maintain a conducive environment for all users.
  • Silence must be observed in designated “Silence Areas”. In all other locations, noise levels should remain reasonable and appropriate to the environment.

2. Mobile Devices

  • All phones and sound-emitting devices must be muted or silenced while in the library.

3. Dress Code

  • All library users are required to adhere to the dress code established by i-CATS University College while in the library.

4. Identification

  • A valid student ID Card must be worn at all times.

5. Prohibited Items and Activities

  •  Smoking, vaping and the consumption of food or drinks are strictly prohibited.
  • Helmets and umbrellas are not allowed to be taken into the library. Those materials must be placed in a provided locker. Library are not responsible for any loss, damage or misplacement of the user’s belongings.

6. Seating and Furniture

  • Seat reservation is not allowed.
  • Items left unattended on tables and chairs will be removed by staff.
  • Patrons are not allowed to rearrange or remove library furniture.

7. Reading Materials

  • All reading materials must be placed in the designated trolley after use.

8. Library Property

  • Any disfigurement, theft or unauthorized removal of library materials is
    a serious offense.

9. Computer and Internet Use

  • Library computers are for academic and research purposes only.
  • Viewing inappropriate content is strictly prohibited.

10. Lost and Found

  • Lost items found in the library will be kept at the service counter for a limited period.
  • Unclaimed items will be disposed or turned over to campus security.

11. Disciplinary Action

  • Failure to comply with any of the above rules may result in stern disciplinary action.
