On May 7, 2024, i-CATS University College celebrated the graduation ceremony of the Hydrogen Powered Commercial Vehicle Technology Training, hosted by Foshan Feichi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (“Feichi Technology”) and Foshan Polytechnic in Foshan, China. The event marked a significant milestone in fostering workforce expertise in hydrogen technology among Malaysian professionals.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Hallman bin Sabri (Executive Director of Sarawak Skills and PPKS Ilmu Sdn. Bhd.), Professor Dr. Shahren bin Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce (Vice Chancellor of i-CATS University College), Mr. Guan Xue (President of Foshan Polytechnic), Mr. Jiang Yong (General Manager of Feichi Technology), along with other relevant department heads. Also present were five (5) lecturers from i-CATS University College and five (5) instructors from Sarawak Skills who attended the training.

The training, spanning from April 22 to May 7, 2024, provided comprehensive insights into various aspects of the hydrogen energy industry. Participants received instruction from experts in Foshan on topics including China’s hydrogen energy vehicles landscape, hydrogen production technology, safety protocols, technical principles of hydrogen fuel cells, and practical training on new energy drive systems, among others.

The training, organized by Feichi Technology and Foshan Polytechnic, also included visits to prominent institutions and companies related to hydrogen technology research and development. These visits provided participants with hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of hydrogen-powered vehicle components’ design and development process.
