Yayasan Sarawak Loan

Eligibility

Online Application 

  • Go to Yayasan Sarawak website
  • Fill in and complete application form
  • The student must submit the online form and supporting document

Application Period

  • Application is open throughout the year

Hard Copies

  • A copy of university /college offer letter
  • A copy of student’s /guardian’s MYkad
  • A copy of SPM /Matriculation /Diploma certificate
  • A copy of most recent payslip /pension statement /letter of income confirmation (for self-employment)
  • A copy of your bank statement /bank book

Additional Document

  • A copy PTPTN rejection letter (only for “Top-up” applications)
  • A copy of Master’s degree transcript and scroll (PHD student only)
  • A study leave letter (for working applicants only)
  • A copy of guarantor’s Mykad

Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN)

Eligibility

  • Must be  Malaysian citizen and does not exceed 45 years of age on the date of application
  • The value of loan is dependent on the student’s family income
  • Maintain GPA 2.0 and above every semester
  • Student with full scholarship are not eligible to apply PTPTN loan
  • Students are not allowed to change course once PTPTN loan is approved. Please refer PTPTN person IN charge for more info
  • PTPTN loan will be disburse twice a year is by March & October 
  • Must apply via PTPTN website https://www.ptptn.gov.my/

PTPTN Application Process

  • Purchase PIN number from Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) amounting RM5.05 or through PTPTN Website  The pin is valid for 6 month.
  • Open a personal account with Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB).The account will be used by PTPTN to disburse of the loan
  • Open SSPN account at PTPTN one stop centre or through PTPTN website 

Online Application

  • Go to PTPTN website https://www.ptptn.gov.my/ 
  • Fill in and complete the online application form
  • Click “YA” once all the details have been filled and complete.Check inbox from MYPTPTN or email for application confirmation

After Online

  • Wait for online application pre-approval (7 days after the closing date of the online application)

Pre-Approval

  • Download the agreement from MYPTPTN or log in into your registered email for PTPTN 
  • Read all the terms and conditions, sign and paste the duty stamps of RM10 on each set of the agreement

Hard Copies Submission

  • Submit two sets of completed agreements together with ICATS Offer Letter to any nearest PTPTN office / ICATS

PTPTN Payment

  • Estimated time to get the first payment upon PTPTN pre-approval is around 2 month.

BP40 Bursary Scheme

i-CATS University College in collaboration with Yayasan Sarawak offers a special bursary scheme for qualified Sarawak bumiputera students who enroll in its study program.

The Sarawak Foundation’s BP40 Bursary Scheme gives students the opportunity to continue their studies at the foundation, diploma or degree level, with subsidized tuition fees.

About the scheme

  • Limited to 100 students only.
  • Endorsed by Yayasan Sarawak and the Sarawak State Government
  • For Sarawakian Bumiputera student from low and middle income (B40/M40) family background
