Introduction

Software Engineering plays a vital role in the installation and development of any business operating system. The Diploma in Software Engineering programme provides opportunities to further develop analysis, design and development skills through the exposure of emerging technologies.

Career Opportunities

Software Engineers will be in demand for their software construction skills and experience of working in a team. Graduates will be able to participate in software design and development, software team management, technical support and research. Successful completion of this diploma will also enable them to pursue undergraduate degree programs locally and abroad.

Entry Requirements

SPM:
- Possess SPM with at least THREE (3) credits in any subjects including of Mathematics; OR
STPM:
- A minimum Grade of C (GP 2.00) in ONE (1) subject including Credit Mathematics at SPM level; OR
STAM:
- A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul (Pass) and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
SKM:
- Possess SKM Level 3 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent (Candidates without Mathematics at SPM can be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment); OR
Certificate:
- A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in related field with at least a CGPA of 2.00; OR
UEC
- A minimum Grade of B in THREE (3) subject including Mathematics; OR
Other Qualifications:
- Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.

Notes:

Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted into the certificate programme if it contains subjects in Mathematics that are equivalent to Mathematics at SPM level.
Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at SPM level and without a related certificate need to take a reinforcement Mathematics subject with appropriate topics in the discipline of Computing at the beginning of the study.
Candidates with a credit in a Computing-related subject at SPM level or its equivalent may be given preferential consideration.

International Student:

Achieve a minimum score of 4.0 in the IELTS or an equivalent qualification
