About the event today: Project Handover Ceremony for “Solar Energy Implementation for Sustainable Rural Electrification in Sebuyau-Sebangan” is an event marking the completion and transfer of a solar energy project aimed at providing sustainable electricity to rural areas in the Sebuyau-Sebangan region.
About the project, what is it about, team members, student involvement:
• The project started on July 24, 2023 with the cooperation of the “Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Humanitarian Technologies Board Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (IEEE HTB / SIGHT)” which contributed RM 40 995.50 (Total 9,010 USD).
• Project goals: Reduce dependence on traditional energy sources, promote sustainable practices, reduce electricity expenses, provide practical training to the community in the use, safety and maintenance of solar panels
• Project activities include site visits, solar power circuit installation training, solar power circuit installation in the Chapel and kindergarten, project monitoring
