[Kuching, 15th May 2026] – The Faculty of Computing and Software Engineering (FCSE) at i-CATS University College recently hosted a REST API Workshop conducted by Jonathan Chung (alumnus of Diploma in Software Engineering) from Kiratech. In this workshop, participants gained valuable insights into API development, integration, and real-world applications in today’s digital landscape. The purpose of such workshop was to promote lifelong learning among students, insights into industry best practices and introduction into Django & Vue.js. Through today’s participants, the Faculty hoped to roll out this new knowledge en masse amongst its students. Jonathan was also assisted by another alumnus from FET Paul Cornelius Bong (HND).
Thank you Jonathan and Paul for spending time sharing knowledge and contributing back to your alma mater. Jonathan is recently promoted to Chief Technical Officer at Kiratech (https://www.kiratech.com.au/portfolio), an Australian based IT company specializing amongst others in healthcare related IT solutions.
