Mdm Ts Nurlaila Rosli and Mdm Norahima Annuar are now with two teams of FCSE students (from Bachelor of Sofware Engineering (Honours), Diploma in Software Engineering and an alumnus) at Sunway University in a contest and special nationwide startup programme called LaunchX – The University Startup Accelerator Program organised by @sunwayilabs (partners include UTM and endorsed by MOHE)

LaunchX is a 3+2 months university startup accelerator programme that turns validated ideas into fundable startups. It is an equity-free, no-string attached programme for budding entrepreneurs, with one goal: to help them succeed.

Only 5 projects are selected from Sarawak and we are proud to announce two of these (by Ernyndor and Elysian teams) are from i-CATS UC. The remaining three are from UNIMAS and Swinburne University. In total, there are 45 accepted entries nationwide and our two teams are amongst them. LaunchX will be officially launched tommorow.

This also means our teams are eligible for mentoring sessions and workshops to prepare them for next round of selection in June: to see whether they qualify for catalyst grant of up to RM10,000. The grand finale for selected startup will be in August.
