[Kuching, 16 May 2025] – i-CATS University College welcomed a delegation from Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak (UMP) for the signing of a memorandum of activity on 16 May 2025. The collaboration involves the Faculty of Computing and Software Engineering (FCSE, i-CATS UC) and the Fakultas Teknik dan Ilmu Komputer (FTIK, UMP).

The MoA was signed by Asst Prof Dr. Ting Kung Chuang (Dean, FCSE) and Mr. Barry Ceasar Octariadi, S.Kom., M.Cs (Dean, FTIK). Also present were Eko Sarwono, S.T., M.T (Deputy Dean), Asrul Abdullah, S.Kom., M.Cs , Head of  Programme (Informatics Engineering), and Istikoma, B.Sc., M.I.T Head of Programme (Information Systems).

As part of this visit by UMP, a guest lecture was also featured and delivered by the Head of  Programme (Informatics Engineering) on the use of IoT in Agriculture.

This marks the start of a working relationship focused on academic collaboration, student mobility, internationalization and knowledge sharing in the field of computing.
