The library is located at the heart of the campus and is easy to access. Visit our library to find what you need or to request for further assistance. The library also provides photocopying, printing and computer access services.

Starts operation on January 2015 with more than 30,000 books. 

2 level library – able to accommodate approximately 150 to 200 people.

Collaboration with other libraries of Sarawak Skills, AWISAR, i-CATS Miri, SEITI, PPKS Mukah, SAVTI Miri and etc.

Carrell Room

RULES & REGULATIONS (CARRELL ROOM) 

A Carrell Room is a small, enclosed workspace typically found in academic or research libraries. These rooms are designed to provide a quiet and private space for individual study or research. Here are some guidelines for using a Carrell Room:

1. Reservation

The Carrell Room is usually available for reservation by students, faculty members, and researchers who require a quiet and private workspace in the library. Users may need to make a reservation in advance, and the library may limit the amount of time users can reserve the Carrell Room to ensure equitable access. The reservation and access the room should be during library working hours.

2. Identification:

The library may require users to present a valid student or staff ID to gain access to the Carrell Room.

3. Conduct:

Users are expected to maintain a quiet and respectful atmosphere in the Carrell Room. Loud conversations, music, or any other activities that could disturb other users are not allowed.

4. Key for the Carrell room:

The library staff keep the key for the rooms and will ready or open the room once got the reservation. The key only will be given and can be hold by the staff and researchers. There will be charge RM20.00 if the user lost the key.

5. Personal Belongings:

Users may be allowed to bring personal belongings into the Carrell Room, but the library may limit the number or size of items allowed. The library is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

6. Food and Drink:

There are not allowed to bring any food in the Carrel Room except the mineral or drinking water.

7. Cleanliness:

Users are expected to keep the Carrell Room clean and tidy. Users should dispose of any trash properly and report any spills or damage to library staff.

8. Access:

The Carrell Room only can be use by 1 person at 1 time & may restrict access to during certain times or for certain users. We’ll closed during public holidays and weekends, or may be restricted to graduate students or faculty only.

IT Corner (5 Computers)

The use of computers at the library is only for research purposes and students are entitled to 1 hour usage only.

Rules & Regulations

  • Silence is to be observed in the library at all times. The library staff have the rights to ask any problematic patrons to leave the library.
  • All phones and sound emitting devices must be muted, silenced or turned off.
  • Patrons are expected to dress appropriately as long as they are in the library.
  • Student ID must be worn at all times.
  • Smoking, vaping and consumption of foods and drinks are strictly prohibited.
  • Bags or jackets should not be brought beyond the counter area. The management is not responsible for losses or damages of personal belongings that are left behind. Please utilize the free locker to safeguard your belongings.
  • Reservation of seats is not allowed.
  • Books and other articles left for any length of time on tables or chairs will be removed by the staff.
  • Patrons are not allowed to remove or change the arrangement of furniture in the library.
  • All reading materials must be left in the trolley provided when they are no longer in use.
  • All patrons are required to show their books, files and personal belongings at the checking counter for inspection upon leaving the library’s premise.
  • Disfigurement, theft and displacement of materials are considered as serious offences.
  • Stern disciplinary action can be taken against patrons if the rules are not met.
