A Grand Celebration at i-CATS UC Chinese New Year Hi-Tea 2025

On 28th February 2025, i-CATS University College (i-CATS UC) hosted a vibrant Chinese New Year Hi-Tea 2025, celebrating unity, prosperity, and cultural appreciation. The event was graced by Yang Berhormat Datuk Amar Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier and Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government Sarawak, along with his wife, Yang Berbahagia Dato Enn Ong Siok Ean.

The celebration began with an inspiring speech by Vice Chancellor, Professor Emeritus Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohamad Kadim Bin Suaidi, followed by a heartfelt address from Prof. Dr. Sim, who emphasized the importance of family, unity, and shared prosperity.

The event was also honored by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Yang Berhormat Dato Ir. Lo Khere Chiang, Member of the Sarawak Legislative Council & Chairman of Sarawak Incorporated Sdn Bhd; Yang Berhormat Wilfred Yap Yau Sin, Member of the Sarawak Legislative Council; Mrs. Song Changhong, Deputy Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kuching; Cr. Tan Kai, Chairman of Padawan Municipal Council; Professor Dato Dr. Shazali Bin Abu Mansor, Deputy Vice Chancellor of i-CATS UC; Dato Alex Lij Khuang, CEO of Space Beacon Sdn Bhd; Encik Thian Foong Fatt, Director of UNIMAS Global; and Kapitan Tan Gun Kee, Community Leader.
