Faculty of Computing and Software Engineering, i-CATS UC","og_description":"[Iskandar, 8th June 2024] \u2013Ts Nurlaila Rosli accompanied two teams of FCSE students (from Bachelor of Sofware Engineering (Honours), Diploma in Software Engineering and an alumnus) to Iskandar, Johor for a follow-up to the contest and special nationwide startup programme called LaunchX \u2013 The University Startup Accelerator Program organised by @sunwayilabs (partners include UTM and endorsed by MOHE).  On this occasion, the teams were required to conduct pre-demo. The Eryndor team was showcasing \u201cgamified platform that provided dynamic and immersive learning experiences\u201d in order to increase student engagement in schools, while the Elysian team was featuring \u201cElectroSteps\u201d a smart sneaker embedded with GPS tracking, fall detection for timely intervention, GPS tracking as safety feature and it was self-charging. Qualifying team will receive catalyst grant up to RM10,000. The result will be announced on 14 June 2024. LaunchX is a 3+2 months university startup accelerator programme that turns validated ideas into fundable startups. It is an equity-free, no-string attached programme for budding entrepreneurs, with one goal: to help them succeed.
