https://icats.edu.my/FCSE/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/WhatsApp-Image-2024-06-11-at-1.42.55-PM.jpeg1280960[Iskandar, 8th June 2024] –Ts Nurlaila Rosli accompanied two teams of FCSE students (from Bachelor of Sofware Engineering (Honours), Diploma in Software Engineering and an alumnus) to Iskandar, Johor for a follow-up to the contest and special nationwide startup programme called LaunchX – The University Startup Accelerator Program organised by @sunwayilabs (partners include UTM and endorsed by MOHE). On this occasion, the teams were required to conduct pre-demo. The Eryndor team was showcasing “gamified platform that provided dynamic and immersive learning experiences” in order to increase student engagement in schools, while the Elysian team was featuring “ElectroSteps” a smart sneaker embedded with GPS tracking, fall detection for timely intervention, GPS tracking as safety feature and it was self-charging. Qualifying team will receive catalyst grant up to RM10,000. The result will be announced on 14 June 2024. LaunchX is a 3+2 months university startup accelerator programme that turns validated ideas into fundable startups. It is an equity-free, no-string attached programme for budding entrepreneurs, with one goal: to help them succeed. Credits and appreciation go to TEGAS, a primer mover for #InnovateSarawak and entrepreneurship as well as digital village, for sponsoring Sarawakian participants.
