A colloquium featuring experts in academia and industry, namely Ts. Dr Gary Loh Chee Wyai of University of Technology Sarawak and Dr Chai Kok Chin, Chief Executive Officer NEUON AI Sdn Bhd, were engaged to share insights on cybersecurity and actual industry use cases for Artificial Intelligence. This was in line with this year’s theme: Driving Sarawak's Digitalisation: Innovation Across AI, Security, and Interactive Technologies. Besides the aforementioned keynotes, a roundtable discussion on entrepreneurship was also held involving Bryan Benjamin Dominic, who shared his experience on his part-time startup Tikuwan, and Alif Hilman, who spoke on freelancing in game development. This year’s primary sponsor was Sarawak Information Systems Sdn. Bhd. (SAINS) and ARx Media Sdn Bhd, both of which employed the faculty’s proud alumni. This year also saw official collaboration with Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad. A total of 22 Diploma in Software Engineering Final Year Projects, 7 Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) IT Project 2 (i.e. Final Year Projects), 8 Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) IT Project 1 (i.e. Proposal) and other students’ works were exhibited. The Award Ceremony, graced by Professor Emeritus Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohamad Kadim Suaidi, Vice Chancellor of i-CATS University College, was held towards the end of the event to celebrate winners of various categories for the showcase, as well as to present tokens of appreciation to sponsors, partners and speakers for the event.
