About Us

Introduction

The Diploma in Plantation Management program responds to the market demand for trained and skilled manpower in the plantation industry. This course aims to provide qualified workforce who can contribute to the improvement of quality, standard and productivity in the oil palm industry. It also aims to forge collaborations and links with industry players through sharing of expertise, knowledge and experience.

Course Fees

A course fee has been set for every graduate course at the college. The fees are determined by the course, not the subjects that comprise the course.

Total Fees for the course is RM17,200.00

Objective

As an industrial-driven college, ICATS responded to the demand for qualified and skilled professional in the plantation industry.

Career Opportunities

The nation has reemphasized the need for the agriculture sector to be strengthened as the sector is expected to play greater role in the overall economic growth of the country. The oil palm continues to be a dominant contributor the growth of the agriculture sector. In Sarawak, the rapid growth in the oil palm plantation has created many job opportunities to be filled by local people. Those with Diploma in Plantation Management can seek for position as Supervisor, Cadet and Junior Assistant Manager.

Entry Requirements

i. Passed SPM/SPMV with at least 3 credits including 1 Science subject;
OR
ii. Passed Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 Senior Estate Conductor or in a related field and passed SPM with at least 1 credit;
OR
iii. Completed Certificate in related field with minimum CGPA of 2.00;
OR
iv. Passed Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Senior Middle III with Grade B in 3 subjects including Science;
OR
v. Passed GCE O-Level with credit in 3 subjects including Science subject;
OR
vi. Any other equivalent qualifications recognized by Malaysian Government.

Duration

The minimum time for Full-time study to complete a module shall be 2.5 years (4 months OJT).
