About Us


The nursing profession consists of nurses and nursing assistants, constitutes the largest working group in the healthcare sector. This profession demands a lot of time, dedication, patience, sacrifice, love and care for the sick patients. The advancement in medical sciences has prompted a constant improvement in the nursing education standard. Hospital, nursing home, private clinic and healthcare facility have increased in number over the years. Due to the increase in healthcare facilities the demands for nurses who are qualified and professionally trained are also increasing. i-CATS is offering Diploma in Nursing to meet the country’s needs for trained workforce. The lecturers and trainers for the program are qualified and expert from the industry. The students will be send to the public and private hospitals in the state for clinical experience during the 3 years course.

Total Fees for the course is RM40,980.00

The minimum time for Full-time study to complete a module shall be 3 years.

The 3-year programme will be structured based on these three components:-

Component 1
Nursing sciences, comprising principles and practice of nursing, obstetric nursing, community health nursing and mental health management.

Component 2
Health sciences, comprising anatomy and physiology, fluids and electrolytes, microbiology and medical-surgical disorders.

Component 3
Behavioral sciences, comprising sociology, psychology, human public relations and communications.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of i-CATS Diploma in Nursing should be able to participate in employment opportunities in the fields of clinical nursing, healthcare, education and management, locally and abroad. They can hold position as registered nurse, nursing supervisor, manager in hospitals, educator, industrial nurse or as product specialist and other related profession. Alternatively, they can pursue their education to degree level in local or oversea institution.

Entry Requirements

Local Students:

Entry Requirements: Passed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with 5 credits, including the following subjects:
• Bahasa Melayu
• Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern)
• Science (for Arts Stream students), Biology (for Science stream students) or Credit in Chemistry or Physics and pass in Biology (for Science stream students)
• 2 other subjects
• Pass in English.
NOTE: Combination of chemistry and physics without Biology subject will NOT be accepted

International Students:

Passed O - Level (or equivalent) with five (5) credits including the following subjects:
• Science (Fundamental of Science/ General Science- Biology/ Chemistry/ Physics);
• Mathematics;
• Three (3) other subjects;
English Language Proficiency Requirements:
• International English Language Testing Services (IELTS): Minimum Overall Band Score of 5.5;
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Minimum Score of 550;
• Passed English O - Level English (or equivalent to SPM 1119)
