The courses have been designed to train and equip students with sound technical knowledge and practical skills pertaining to the Civil Engineering profession. It aims to produce graduates who are independent and confident to be absorbed into the working world or to seek professional qualifications locally or overseas.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

PEO1 - Apply fundamental knowledge and technical skill of Civil Engineering principles of to fulfil the industry requirement
PEO2 - Communicate effectively, good teamwork, leadership skills and soft skills qualities in workplace
PEO3 - Apply their skill in engineering to plan, analyse, supervise and execute civil engineering project
PEO4 - Solve civil engineering problem innovatively, creatively and ethically under supervision

Career Opportunities

Graduates of ICATS Diploma in Civil Engineering program are qualified to work as assistant engineers or technical assistants in both private and public sectors.

Entry Requirements

i. SPM/SPMV or its equivalent with minimum 3 credits including Mathematics & 1 Science/ Technical subject & a pass in English;
ii. STPM or its equivalent with minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) and pass in Mathematics/ English & 1 Science/ Technical/ Vocational with related subject at SPM Level or its equivalent;
iii. UEC with Grade B in any 3 subjects including Mathematics & 1 Science/Technical /Vocational subject & a pass in English;
iv. O-Level or its equivalent with Grade C in 3 subjects including Mathematics & Science/Technical/Vocational subject & a pass in English;
v. Completed/ Passed Skill Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in related field with 1 credit in SPM & a pass in Mathematics & English subject with complete a one-semester Bridging Programme;
vi. Passed Certificate in Engineering/Engineering Technology (Level 3 MQF) with CGPA of 2.00;
vii. Passed related Certificate from Institut Kemahiran MARA (IKM) with CGPA of 2.00;
viii. SMU3/SMA/SMK/MA with average mark of 55 AND English Language Proficiency Requirement: IELTS with score of Band 5.0;
ix. Any other equivalent qualification(s) recognized by the Malaysian Government


The minimum time for Full-time study to complete a module shall be 2.5 years (4 months OJT).
