With the vigorous industrial growth of the country, brought by strong domestic demands and substancial inflow of foreign investments, Civil Engineering discipline undoubtedly play an important role in meeting the challenges ahead.


The courses have been designed to train and equip students with sound technical knowledge and practical skills pertaining to the Civil Engineering profession. It aims to produce graduates who are independent and confident to be absorbed into the working world or to seek professional qualifications locally or overseas.

Entry Requirements

i. SPM/SPMV or its equivalent with minimum 3 credits including Mathematics & 1 Science/ Technical subject & a pass in English;
ii. STPM or its equivalent with minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) and pass in Mathematics/ English & 1 Science/ Technical/ Vocational with related subject at SPM Level or its equivalent;
iii. Passed Malaysian Vocational and Technical Certificate (equivalent to MQF Level 3) with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.0 and one (1) year’s working experience in a related field or completed a one-semester Bridging Programme;
iv. UEC with Grade B in any 3 subjects including Mathematics & 1 Science/Technical /Vocational subject & a pass in English;
v. O-Level or its equivalent with Grade C in 3 subjects including Mathematics & Science/Technical/Vocational subject & a pass in English;
vi. Completed/ Passed Skill Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in related field with 1 credit in SPM & a pass in Mathematics & English subject with complete a one-semester Bridging Programme;
vii. Passed Certificate in Engineering/Engineering Technology (Level 3 MQF) with CGPA of 2.00;
viii. Passed related Certificate from Institut Kemahiran MARA (IKM) with CGPA of 2.00;
ix. SMU3/SMA/SMK/MA with average mark of 55 AND English Language Proficiency Requirement: IELTS with score of Band 5.0;
x. Any other equivalent qualification(s) recognized by the Malaysian Government

Note: English Proficiency Requirement for International Students
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Band of 5.0 or equivalent.


The minimum time for Full-time study to complete a module shall be 2.5 years (4 months OJT).
